Over 9 lakh candidates to appear for JEE Main 2019

 
 
JEE Main 2019 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from January 06, 2019, to January 20, 2019, in 258 cities across the country.

In a meeting with the officials of NTA, the Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Prakash Javadekar said that in total 9.5 lakh candidates will appear for the next big exam i.e JEE Main.

The Joint Entrance Exam is conducted every year for candidates seeking admissions in undergraduate engineering programmes in the prestigious IITs, NITs, IIITs and various other CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutions) across the country.

Meanwhile, the JEE Mains will be conducted twice in a year - once in January and again in April.

JEE Main 2019: Admit cards
Meanwhile, the admit cards for the JEE Main has been released by the NTA. All the candidates can download their admit cards from the official website.

JEE Main 2019: Important dates
JEE Main I:
• Dates of examination: January 6 to January 20, 2019
• Result declaration: January 31, 2019

JEE Main II:
• Online submission of application forms: February 8 to March 7, 2019
• Downloading of admit cards: March 18, 2019
• Dates of examination: April 6 to April 20, 2019
• Result declaration: April 30, 2019

JEE (Main) syllabus:
According to the minister, there will be no change in the syllabus of JEE Mains; neither will the exam cost more than what it does currently.
